  1. I have PDFed a 1954 Brother HZ3-B1 Automatic Zig-Zag sewing machine manual. I have been looking for someplace to share it so if anyone is looking for it they could get it.

      • Hello! I have been searching for instructions in English! My mother’s manual is in Japanese (it’s called an “Automatic Zigzag” ZJ2-B431 but looks just like the teal Select-o-matic.)
I am stumbling through the manual AND learning to sew, so, English instructions would be VERY much appreciated.
        Thank you!

    • hello, i have just picked up one of these machines and trying to restore it back into service. i would be very interested in a manual. thank you

    • Hi Kathy,

I just recently aquired a Brother sewing machine model number HZ3-B1. If the Pdf manual is still available, I would greatly appreciate one.

      Thank you kindly,
      Heather

    • Kathy,
I would dearly love to have the pdf copy of the Brother Select-o-matic manual if you are still willing to share! I got a beautiful one as an heirloom and am trying to get it going. It’s in great shape, just needs some technical input. Thank you!

    • Hi Cathy,
Could you please send me a copy of the Brother HZ3-B1.
If I can be of any assistance please let me know.
You have an open invitation to dinner in Greece, if you ever visit the country!
By the way this is where I live.

Thanks in advance for your help.

      • Hi Kathy,

Me too me too! If you’re able to forward a copy of the Brother HZ3-B1 manual I would really appreciate it. I just found a “Select-o-matic” in my local thrift store (lucky me!) and was thrilled to discover its in working condition. The bobbin tension is a little too tight though and I don’t have the foggiest idea how to fix it.

Thank you so much for your generosity, I didn’t realize the manual would be this difficult to find!

  2. Hello,
I am looking for a manual for a elnita 245i or one that is pretty close. A little spring came off of it and I have not idea where it belongs…trying to get this machine going in order to teach a few kids at school how to sew. Please help! Thank you.
